I’ve always wanted something extraordinary to happen on the 14th of February. I wanna know what it feels like to wear a smile all day because someone surprised me. Ever since I was little, I’ve built this perception of how my perfect valentine would be. I wanna receive a bouquet of flowers. Not those bouquets that can be bought in a shop located in a mall. I want the guy to go to Dangwa to personally pick white roses & carnations and let someone arrange the flowers for him. A personalized bouquet would mean so much to me. I wanna know what it feels like to carry a bouquet while others are staring at me out of envy. I wanna receive a long, handwritten letter that contains all his feelings for me and his thoughts. I wanna read a heartfelt letter that’s full of emotions. I don’t care if his handwriting’s a mess, I don’t care if the papers are crumpled or ordinary, what’s important is what the letter is composed of. Something that can still make me smile even if I’m already married to another person. I wanna eat Red Velvet from Sonja’s + Mango Bravo or Blueberry Cheesecake from Conti’s with him. Pigging out with someone special and not caring about your figure is the best. I really find putting icing on each other’s faces cute.. I wanna enter my home with a huge smile on my face and my family would wonder why and I’d tell the story behind the curve on my face. To lay down in bed thinking how wonderful your day went is one the best feelings in the world. These are the things that would never go out of style for me. It’s always been my dream to receive and do these on February 14. I’m not expecting that something magical would happen and make all these possible. Just hoping that one day, it would come true.

Yes, that. 

You get so attached to the whole story that when the ending comes near, you have to remind yourself that it’s all just inside your head. You cling to your imagination, your daydream, that when it comes to a halt, you’re too scared to detach yourself from it. Because, you know, after all of this, it will be over and you don’t know when you’ll find another good story to read again. For the many you’ve chanced upon have been too ordinary and this…this is just exceptional.

You put down the book, with much hesitation, sigh, and wish that you could read through it again. To get that oddly comforting feeling back, that feeling of temporary contentment.
